I'm losing it.
I just told a customer to shut. Literally, I said "shut". Which meant shut the hell up, in case you don't know what I mean. But I can't say that...And I shouldn't say shut, either. But I just did. And that means I'm losing it. I get so tired of whining and complaining...and it's not my fault that GM made a trailblazer with rear heat issues, in fact, GM is so aware that they did that they published a bulletin that states that fact. However, they will not fix it for free...and that is not my fault, personally. Yes, I represent GM, and yes, this dealership did sell you the used vehicle with a design flaw. The fact is, you probably wouldn't notice the problem if it weren't below zero this winter. But it is, and I recognize the fact that you have small children, and I'm not blind to the fact that you have another on the way. Which is why I agreed to fix it, at the expense of this dealership. So, then you still want to complain? Well then shut. And I mean it.

Good response. Some people just don't know when to shut up.
Oh, no...a cranky, cold expectant mother with 2(?) kids already??? Shit! I'll fix it, take your shoes, and here's your chocolate bar...and shut!! howzat??? :) The poor woman (who should definitely not be abusing you) probably wants to tell her kids to shut the hell up too, right after she removes her husband's testicles!
hmmmm...
does this mean that you aren't havin a good day???
i hope you are home now-- and feelin better.
look on the bright side-- you didn't finish the sentence. right?
ox
I once told a patient to "hush." She was so surprised that she did.
Sometimes surprise is the best element....
I love that. Shut. Just enough to get the message across, but not enough to get in trouble. Sounds like you did your best to hide your true feelings!
You just gave me an idea for a post...LOL. These last 3 days have been hell at work...and I've been screamed at so much by the public I want to just scream back (frowned upon by employer). Like I can change the WEATHER! Boy I sure would have loved to say SHUT. LOL
Oh man. After reading the story, I think shut was not that bad! I hope they finally went away.
"SHUT IT" is another good one! I use that all the time.
Always,
Elizabeth
I didnt even do that... I hung up on a customer once.... ooops....
A good old fashioned glare often does the trick too but I like your response better. You tell em girl.
I'm thinking your only alternative would have been to bitch slap her, she got off easy. ---just my humble opinion
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !
I'm sure I would have tried to save myself.... You know... by saying something like
Shut .... the door!
Shut.... ter Bug
or
Shut ... down
I'm so lame.
You go, girl.
Can I borrow your word? hehe
You could have said something much, much worse. I don't think "Shut" is that bad.
Once, I answered the phone "Hell" instead of "Hello".
Does that make you feel better? I hope!
