Every other day, every other day of the week is fine..

A new day, a new opportunity to try and feel positive....I'm working on it. :)

I don't have to work 12 plus hours today, that's a plus, although I have more than enough work to keep me going there for that long.

It isn't supposed to snow today, that's always a plus. The temps are supposed to drop to inhumane range once again, but it should be dry.

I get to get out of the office and do something, shopping would never be my choice, but sometimes it's almost fun.

I will get to spend some (happy?) time with my daughter...and it's been awhile, as we are both a virtual fountain recently..

Oaky, that's it, I'm out of positives for this day. I mean, I always have blessings and good things and always things to be grateful for, but for this day specifically, that's about it. It's okay, I'll take what I can get.

a short day-- with a get away break too-- that has to be good in some way-- even if you end up at different tables at lunch--and separating at mall hell.. make it day for YOU.

just kidding... i know-- and surely hope it is a wonderful time for both of you. ok..maybe wonderful is a stretch-- but ya really never know how mall hell with a daughter will go. right.

have you decided the order of things yet? apt first-- then lighten the mood with w liquid lunch?

or get drunk first-- then face mall, and memory hell at the apartment.

that's my concern is the apartment. has she been back since all this stuff has happened.? it might be tough on her. you ready for that?

wait in the car-- and let her face that on her own maybe?

don't know what to tell ya. once again. cept-- do TRY-- to enjoy each other. it is possible .

see? you force me to think positively-- at least for you. :))
but hey-- i try here too. occasionally it happens.

hope you have a good day-

Sounds like you're walking into it with positivity and that's good! I'm certain you'll find lots of good things to talk about...I hope it's a nice time for the two of you!

And if it's a bit frenetic, then have a michelob when you return home,..share one with her. :)
Always,
Elizabeth
Happy Monday.

Enjoy your day with your daughter...I TRIED to enjoy yesterday with mine but my son ran interference. Gawd! I just don't GET him. He said some things that I will have to talk to him about...as matriarch of the family I cannot let this slide. I'm not looking forward to it but it can't be tolerated anymore. Sigh ~ I need a drink. Better yet...I need to RUN AWAY (preferably to someplace warm).

I stopped for a second to say a prayer to you.

Then an angle said to me, "Why you keep calling Jesus "him"? It should be "her" because:

1. He had to feed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was no food.

2. He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn't get it.

3. Even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was more work for Him to do.

Only woman can do that.

Well that's my lame attempt to bring a smile to you :)
And yes, you're still in my prayer.

I, like you(?), often struggle to be positive. It doesn't seem to be my nature. Is it a brain thing, do you think? a way we are chemically designed? Are some people just born happy and stay that way? I'm truly baffled. You're doin fine and our blog friends really help to keep that sun shining.

Good job looking at the positives that the day had to offer. That in itself can be a real effort. I, right now, am grateful for my strong body, good, dark chocolate and red wine. The rest, however...

Weatherwise here in NY, we were at 62 degrees at around 2pm. It has since dropped 25 degrees or so. WTH??
