Me, on wheels

So, I did it. It wasn't easy, but not as hard as I thought it might be. After all, I have been hobbling, shuffling, lunging, sliding, limping, gimping, tripping and falling for weeks now all around the dealership. Pride? What pride? So, getting in that chair yesterday was easier once I realized that I looked like a total fool just trying to walk. My arms are oh-so-tired today, and they gave out yesterday, part of which is from normal over-use, and part of it is from the same problem my legs have, as the arms are part of the deal. But between the two, walking and riding, I think I can make it, at least better. And yes, they do have motorized wheelchairs, but for now, I do not want one, in my mind, they are the epitome of lazy and old. Yes, I know-I know. Please. One step at a time for me. None of this is permanent. See how my attitude is changing? See how the real "me" is coming back? I'll get there, just give me time...

And even though I HATE the saying, I can accurately say, this REALLY is how I roll.

Later.

Atta girl...with an attitude like that, no-one and nothing will keep you down for long. I know it couldn't have been easy to make this concession but your body will thank you for it in the end and I am very PROUD of you just quietly.

I know the pride must be hard foryou, but think of all the muscles that you'll grow in your arms!!! You'll be able to lift the hoods up off the showroom cars easier than the men standing to your right!
KAPOW!!! :)
I miss Soul even though she's "here."
Always,

There you go, that's the Jamie we know and love - fighting back but also doing what she must to take care of herself and get on with living. For the time being, let it roll lady, anything to get you thru the day! And hey, you can park a cat in your lap for comfort and to keep you nice and warm! :-)
Hugs Jamie, my heart is with you.

I wanted to say that it was always the real you! But I know what you mean. Dealing with all that you have does take a toll and leaves you feeling...rather unlike your true self. I hope this will bring some welcome relief to your legs! Wishing you a great day today:)

As the tiredly say in A.A. "One day at a time!" You are gonna make it girl. Your spirit is too bright to be dimmed. I am pulling for you!

Your friend,

Jonathon Andrew

Put some ribbons, handle bar streamers and a bicycle bell on that thing. Go in style!

How are you feeling today?
