Sometimes it just turns out that way

Another weekend behind me. It was a busy one, a good one, although I can't really tell you why. They fly by in a blur, one wonderful, leisurely minute at a time, then BOOM!--Monday morning smacks me right in the face. And I honestly have no issue with Monday - Friday, unless you count my Sucky Thursday campaign, but the weekends are the whipped cream and cherry of life.

We (I) found a car for the youngest. It's quite a car - a pt cruiser, one of a thousand or some damned thing, a special edition made in 2001. Hail damaged but still looking fine, wild crazy flames and iridescent paint, just the type of thing he loves. He is so excited he could just pee...and it's a good, affordable deal. As long as he pays for it. If he doesn't, I will be in trouble. I give him the benefit of the doubt, again. He is growing up and finally getting it. And there is nothing in this world I wouldn't do, or give to all three of my kids. One problem, my middle kid is also nearly carless, his gets him from here to there, and so far, it is still doing that. He too, is now capable of paying but past stupidity has left him unable to do it on his own and it will soon be necessary to help him in the same way. There is only so much of me to go around, but things have a way of working, and I keep telling myself just that. At least there is another vehicle in his household that can keep them going until. In the youngest's home, the dead transmission car was the only one. Two people with jobs and no wheels leaves one pretty helpless. I am currently without wheels, depending on rides from youngest as I just gave him my car, his schedule is the one that requires unusual driving, mine is the same every day. He will pick up his new one in a day or two. So, another problem solved.

Did I mention that I found this car through the man I was dating last summer? It wasn't really through him, it is his. I am not too excited about the new contact but I initiated it, and honestly, when I saw him yesterday, it was good. I do like him and when questioned, I told him so. I laid out the rules one more time. We will see. There is no question how any of this works together, the car, the relationship, the whole deal....I am nothing if not blunt. If you leave a conversation with me not understanding, then you are completely deaf. So...

The rest of the weekend seemed to be spent putting out fires with my kids, answering calls and texts at crazy hours, talking with them as though it were noon, not two am. I am always a little surprised that they feel no hesitation in calling, but I know that's because I have told each of them to do just that. They take me up on it, and one day when I am gone, who will be available?

I am wowed by SKYPE! For the first time ever, I actually got to see the person I was talking on the phone to, and let me tell you that my little Brodie thought seeing MeMaw and PaPa was the coolest thing, ever. Isn't technology awesome?

I'm off to find oatmeal, dammit I am hungry this morning. Happy Monday. :)

I've thought about SKYPE and even getting a camera for the computer. Even do a vlog, but not yet. Maybe someday.

You have me exhausted just reading all you do. And the stress? Well, you handle it. I think we're a lot alike. We do what we have to do. We're strong women. Hear us roar?

Your kids are so lucky to have a mom like you!

Isn't Skype the best? What a great invention for families!

Cool about the car! That was quick!

I did the same for my son and I haven't regretted it.

We do what we need to for our kids.

I've heard lots about Skype but not sure I'm 'into' it. Thankfully the g-kids are right here most of the time. Altho with the son.......might be a better option.

Enjoy the day!
