Sentimental gentle wind

And a good time was had by all. It was a wonderful Christmas, no one could tell that I hadn't started months ago, and that is the look I was going for. Everyone was happy, or so it seemed, with everything chosen by me, and only one thing didn't fit, so I'd call that a success. I got some really great gifts from my kids and from my bestest friend, and that made me happy. Everyone was out of here by noon, and I must have been asleep by noon:01. And that was the rest of my day. There was only one pretty major blow up between kid three and his gf, but things got calmed down, I also felt that was pretty good, as kid 1 and her bf had been feuding all week long. Tempers and feeling and nerves, oh my.

So, this is that week that really doesn't exist---the one where nothing much is accomplished , the one where so many people are not where they normally are, the week where Christmas is over and some of the most-happy feelings are gone, but nothing is back to normal yet, so there must be a reason to feel different. The week where EVERYTHING is just OFF. I generally like this week, in fact, I often don't work this week at my job, but this year, I sort of have to work my ass off. For me, this is the week I have to get back to business, and that could be a major undertaking, considering the way I am feeling, and the lack of people at work. Could be interesting...

I wish for each of you, a wonderful, happy, carefree "week that doesn't really exist". I will be trying to get my act together, emphasis on trying...and doing it in half days, or nearly half days, as I have GOT to start taking myself and healing very seriously. I am somewhat nervous about the condition I am in, and I have miles to go to get back to where I was a week ago. Have a happy Wednesday!

You're right Jamie. This is the week that doesn't really exist. We went out partying again today and we have a 2nd Christmas dinner tomorrow for my little brother who has just arrived from interstate. I don't go out this much during the whole year combined. I feel as though I am living someone elses life. LOL.

Glad your Christmas Day was a big success and I glad to hear that you are taking your healing more seriously

I just decided to come over from reading Raine's post to say hello. I am glad you had a good Christmas. Did you read Dreaming Mage? I am his mother.

Yep, Christmas 2007 is now Christmas past. This is the week to "put it all away" and "for goodness sake don't miss the garbage/trash/recycle pickup."

I'm so happy to hear that your Christmas was a success, and I'm glad you realize that now you MUST begin taking better care of yourself. We want you to be ready to ride your bike when spring makes a comeback.

This is a strange kind of week. I don't go back to work till Friday, then just work then and Saturday. Then I'm off again till Thursday. I wish that time would slow down. I could use a few more days at home, but think I'll venture out tomorrow.

You do need to take time to heal. You had a major surgery and then this big holiday. Try to treat yourself gently now that it's over.

Jaime,

I am so glad you had a good Christmas. Now concentrate on getting better and easing the pain. I worry you tried to do too much, but I know you probably get so damned tired of hearing people say that. I just care. And I am so glad to call you a blog friend!

Your friend,

Andrew

Yep, kid...now its time to get serious about healing. You may have miles to go....but you have traveled a lot of miles too...you're better than you were...so keep remembering that. One day at a time and you'll get 'er done....right? Its great your family came through for you...I love it when that happens. I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas and made some good memories. Concentrate on YOU now. Promise? Hugs, Val
