Spit in one hand and wish in the other

Even with the time change in my favor, I am running behind. Heavens, it's Sunday, and I feel I am behind schedule. My mother and her husband are coming for dinner and really, I should already have a start on the dinner, but I have sat too long this morning, doing what I want to and not what I should. Such is life....

It has been a good weekend, my pain has been manageable, up until now. I have over done it, but that is what weekends are for, right? At least today, I can take medication that will help. I don't have to think like Einstein to put a halfway decent dinner together. I am hoping that I have pumpkin in the pantry, I think pumpkin bars sound wonderful. And they are easy to make...

Last nights dinner with the kids was a really good time. I love being with them, it never seems to last long enough. Yesterday at work, I really made huge strides in my work load. That had me feeling pretty good. I will not be there tomorrow, it's back to the damned tube for me...yet another MRI, and then a DR appointment once again. I am so very tired of it all.

I do hope that each of you have a great Sunday. My plans later today include a Nascar race from Texas....and my couch. I will catch you all later!

I was hoping someone would make YOU dinner today for a change. Your determination to keep going puts my laziness to shame! I am so glad to hear you got caught up on work a little, I know that is a great burden off your mind. Will be thinking of you in the tunnel again tomorrow. Doctors, doctors, can't we just switch these bodies out for new ones??? Love you, Jamie, put your feet up and enjoy the races!

Hope the dinner turns out well. You made me hungry talking of pumpking. Oh, how I would love a pie to eat with whipped cream and a crisp and flaky crust. hah! I certainly am hungry now! Take care and get to feeling better Jamie. I worry about you and hope they find what's wrong.

It just amazes me how you think. If I were in your shoes, I would be ordering BING to prepare dinner and I'd be tucked into my bed until about a half hour before the company arrived.

But, I am sort of a selfish beast....:)

weekends go by so fast and with the time change for us it didn't seem helpful...
pumpkin bars, eh? Hmm, maybe you'll have a recipe post someday? That sounds delicious!!!
Glad that things brought smiles to your face inspite of what is going to occur today-Monday-with all the dr visits and such.

always,
