So, yesterday was l.o.n.g. But I survived...barely, and stumbled in the back door and died, on the couch. I am tired of the long hours. Old, that's what it is.
I got a reprieve on letting the quite capable employee go, after a little investigation, I determined that he will be eligible for unemployment after another week. So I am not going to let him go until I am sure he will be eligible. I will tell him mid week, next week. I feel that assuring his eligibility is the least I can do. Owner thought that was okay, too.
Another day, another fifty cents. Hope it goes really well for you. Out.

even though this employee thing is so hard for you... the way that you put the feelings and life situation of this person into consideration says SO much about your own character ! i hope you can see, and appreciate that, and not feel only the stress and pressure of what NEEDS to be done.
