My mother was a goldfish...

Some day I will have to tell you the story behind my title of the day; sorry Soul, no song in my brain this am...perhaps because I have a brain full of putty. I am tired this morning, drunk dialing by anyone at one forty five in the blessed am is WRONG, whether it's my son or not, whether they are fighting again or not. Oh hell, I just LOVE being the counselor....and even while I am irritated at him, I see signs of maturity, and I suppose if he's going to call someone, it might as well be me, but shit...I am too old for this. And if the truth were known, it would not matter to me what the circumstances were, I will always take his calls, or the calls from the other two, and I will always help. If that makes me a bad mom, then guilty as charged. :)

I heard on the radio today that termites are roasted and eaten as a snack in South Africa...WTF?

That's all the wisdom I have for today----I will let you know how things go today when I come back here this evening. I am wishing a great day for all of us!

I hate late night calls too Jamie, the adrenalin rush keeps you laying there awake long after. While I'm not a big one for getting into kid's marriages, I think you are an awesome mother in that your kids know you are always there for them, to listen and care. I wish I would have grown up feeling that I could call home when life was rough. I might have made better decisions, or at least considered it. :-) Keeping my fingers crossed along with you for the job interview today... onward and upward... GO JAMIE!!

i agree with josie in that you are an awesome mother just for being there. when you are young and drunk and distressed like that it means the world just to have someone willing to listen to you.

of course, if he's like my brother and drunk dials someone every night, well that might not be a good thing.

i had a home DESTROYED by termites before. if i ever find the pics i shall post them. not the fondest of memories... but one of many that i'd rather forget. but instead/// i forget where i'm going when i try to drive. go figure.

I've tried them! My dad was given a box once. Couldn't tell what you were eating, ants are tiny. Don't ask me to sample some bigger bug though!

Shiznit, teehee. I ate chocolate covered ants once, too. I was at a slumber party in the fifth grade, I thought I would try them to be cool, didn't care for them at all. I couldn't eat anything larger, either, and really, I couldn't do the ant thing again----the mere idea makes me queasy now.
