But Monday morning, you gave me no warning, of what was to be...

Another Monday. Damn. Where the hell did Sunday go? I spent it just like I said I would, reading, watching the race, on the computer, and i substituted walking for scrubbing my kitchen floor on my hands and knees, not that i meant to make that substitution, but after i did that, walking was out of the question. My kitchen floor is white----yes, I know, only stupid women want white kitchen floors. And it's beautiful. When it's clean. And, it HAS to be clean. But i generally don't clean it that way----but yesterday, it was the only option. I hadn't even swept it for a couple of days, and it was nasty. So there you have my day. Oh and YS and GF came by---I hadn't seen them for a while. It was quite nice, but he has poison ivy, AGAIN. He gets it every year, he is allergic to it, and it makes him horribly sick. No, he doesn't go into the woods, he either has it in his body already, or he goes around someone that has it, unbeknownst to him...and as soon as the weather turns hot and humid, here we go. So, I need to get him a dr appt this afternoon, hopefully, we can catch it before it gets out of hand, although we have never been successful at that before. And, I made turkey burgers, my favorite, and cinnamon cupcakes, H's favorite. And I cleaned the bathroom. And I took a nap. So, how is that for boring? And wonderful.

I have a long list of things to accomplish today, and that's okay, I should be up for it. My back hurts again, but I'm sure cleaning the floor has alot to do with it. I am wishing for a great day for each of you, and a great one for me. Out.

call me stupid, but I *adore* white floors. Makes life so much easier when the house is clean. That's what I get for being raised by a lithuanian mother/grandmother. Happy Monday -- this too shall pass ;)

jamie... you shoulda hijacked the floor scrubber from my blog... much more attractive! although , your pic, seems to really show the truth of how it really is to scrub a floor that way. and ya know what.. my preferred way to clean my floor is actually the bucket way, rather than the simple ole mop the floor way. i don't know why... but i do believe, it gives me reason to procrastinate on the floor cleaning thing. bad me.

have a good monday...hope ypur back feels bettah.

My mom used to always scrub floors on her hands and knees, Jamie. It's true, you can do a much better job that way, but I'm too darn lazy. What doesn't get got with the mop, just doesn't. I'm glad you had a mostly laid-back day yesterday (though scrubbing hardly counts for that), sounds like you made a good supper too. Wishing you a mellow Monday, or at least a fast trip thru it. Hugs.

I totally hear you on the white floors. Good side, you can see the dirt, so you have to clean the floor. Bad side, you can see the dirt, so you have to clean the floor.

Hey there! Yes, I love the "purity" that the white symbolizes,,, and kitchens are the perfect place for it, until they get dirty that is.... Well, gives you something to do right?
