Sunday was a really good day. My mom was in good shape, she was able to stay for a few hours, and she enjoyed herself. My kiddos showed up, on time even. The world was good. D couldn't be here, as she had to work, she was missed. My dinner was awesome, even if I do say so myself. It was just plain, normal food, sometimes the best kind. I tried to make the things that I know everyone likes, homemade mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, roast chicken,(none of which is my cup of tea, except for the chicken). All in all, a good day.
I wanted to go SOMEWHERE after the guests left, I hadn't been out of the house all weekend, except for going to work on Saturday morning, and that doesn't count. There was no way, i was in too much pain, and too worn out. That is TWO weekends that I have been unable to go anywhere. WTH? I have to be on my deathbed to miss an evening out, it really is starting to worry me a little. I have never given in, is that what I am doing now? Hmmm.
I missed my race, even the end, and everyone was gone by then. But i fell asleep. Pathetic. I did see the Sopranos, it is getting better, I am starting to see how the series will be tied up in a few short weeks. I will miss it.
A boring post, a boring life. But really, it was a good weekend, even if all I managed to do was lay on my rear end. When I wasn't cooking/cleaning/doing laundry. I am not working today, H is. I have no idea what I will do, other than walk, it will be seventy degrees today. SEVENTY. Whoo hoo! I will walk and then be unable to walk. Makes perfect sense to me. Have a great day!

I love plain, normal food! Frankly it doesn't sound like a bad weekend to me. Like Beth wrote a little downtime is good for the soul. :)
