Yada yada yada

I have finally entered the 21st century---and I am way proud of myself! Hmm..that isn't quite right, I think I have been here for quite some time, but yesterday, I did buy an MP3 player. Yea me! Not that I haven't been listening to mobile music for years, but I have always used my phone, with a memory card, for my music. Until recently, that worked fine. But the 200 songs that I stored there quickly became old crap when I have to have music to work out. So...I thought I would increase the music in my phone, and then the fun began. Ugh..after quite some time of screwing around with it, and alot more money spent on downloading everything from Willie Nelson to Jay-Z...I found myself with no music at all. Lets just say, it is not wise to be clumsy with the phone on the treadmill at nearly five miles an hour at five am. The phone has a tendency to drop right on that belt, and just fly right off the back! Right into the barrier between the equipment and the running track. No more music for Jamie. I am lucky the damned phone still works at all, although it does have some issues after that episode. So, then I borrowed an ipod from my wonderful daughter...and found that itunes is a huge PITA. Huge. It did not work well with the other apps I had been using to download and transfer, and me..being the electronic savvy gal that I am..somehow managed to lose most of my music on my puter. Plus, the damned ipod would not shut off. Bleh. So yesterday, I went and bought a rather inexpensive Sony model, one that works perfectly with my current apps, and it works just fine for me! Hallelujah and holy crap----I have music again!

So...my life has been way too busy lately, and I'm not too sure I like it that way. I run from this thing to that, drop into my bed at night literally exhausted. I have been having alot of fun, though.

I went to see Lifehouse in concert last weekend...it was great. I love them and their music and thought they sounded great in person, so often that isn't the case. I was afraid I would be the oldest person there, but there were many others that looked way beyond me in years. So, it was a great start.

I spent some really awesome time with my grandsons, omgosh, I cannot tell you all how much I am in love with those boys. :)

Friday evening, I am flying (I know!) to Denver...to see my Craig, who live in Fort Collins. I am oh-so-looking forward to it. I will be home on Sunday night, so it will be a very short and sweet visit, just the kind I like. As soon as I return, the whole holiday thing begins, and life won't slow down until after the first of the year. I am trying to get geared up for all of that, and just keep doing what I do to stay on my feet through all of it.

I am tired today, sleep was not my friend last night. Have a very happy hump day, ya'll. :)

I love my MP3 player but I have a heck of a time getting the music from my computer to my player. Being the 'tech savy gal' I am, I always need my daughters help :-)

Enjoy the visit with your son. I know you've been looking forward to it for quite some time.

Have a blessed day Jamie.

Have a WONDERFUL little trip....sometimes those short ones are the best ones of all. Glad you like your mp3 player; I have an inexpensive one that has served me well for many years. The terrific sound coming out of something so small just amazes me. Take plenty of pictures!! xo

A girl at my gym stick her phone in her bra while she's on the treadmill. She has a small cloth wrapped around it and earbuds.

But I do love my iPod.
