My mother was a goldfish

I do apologize for the tone and whining contained in my last post. I should not have posted that, especially during the week of Christmas.

The stockings here are hung, the last gifts wrapped, the tree is overflowing. All that we are waiting on is Santa Clause, and well...my middle child to get his butt home. I did receive an errant text to that effect last night around midnight, but have no idea when or where or what. There is bad weather approaching, of course, so they are trying to beat it on their drive from Colorado. I assume from the message last night that they are on their way now but am not really sure. I just pray alot and wait now----because he has gotten to be the king of not letting me know what's going on.

I still have much to do in preparation for Christmas Eve. All cooking..and baking. And some of it is going to be purchased ready-made this year, I just am not able to do it all like in years past. But we will survive.

Should I not post before the big day---please know, that I wish each and every one of you the Magical Christmas that you deserve. Stop (if only for a moment) and actually enjoy it. Big Christmas Hugs. :)

Hopefully I will get round to everyone on Christms Eve my time, but if not, enjoy your time over the holidays with your kids and I hope that just for this one special day a miracle happens and you manage to get through it with no pain. That is my Christmas wish for you. Big hugs xxxx

Jamie, When pain is your constant companion it is very hard to cope. I think you do very well but I know it's hard. I hope your Christmas is happy and fulfilling. Allow others to help you do the things that must be done and ignore all the rest. Just take care of yourself.

I'm thinking of you and praying that your Christmas is everything your dreams whould have it be.

Sounds like you are very busy. Don't apologise for whinging, it's your blog, and by the sounds of it you have every right to have a moan.

Have a wonderful Christmas.

This upcoming storm looks BIG, yes? We are lucky. All of our company are already here, but I am a bit leery of trying to head into work tomorrow with that ice storm followed by a snow storm coming. God, why do we live here, J?

I just read Monday's post and today's and I see nothing wrong with your saying what you feel and how you feel. This blog isn't to entertain us with light and fluffy stuff. The people who come here to see what you're up to really do want to know how you're doing. You go above and beyond for everyone around you. That's what we see. And we feel your pain. And your love for and frustration with your family. You're real. We care. I care.

One day at a time, Jamie. And I hope you have at least one of your kids helping you with preparing for Christmas Eve. They're grown-ups now and it's hard for one person to do all the doing.

Happy Wednesday to my friend.

There is no "should not have" when it comes to your blog. Your blog is just that.......your blog.

I hope you enjoy your families company, the spirit of the season, and the joy that both can bring.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! And I mean that sincerely.

Merry Christmas, dear friend. I know your little corner of the world is white and treacherous but hopefully you can stay in where its warm and cozy with plenty to eat. Snuggle back, maybe toss in a good movie and enjoy. That's what I'm gonna do tomorrow. I have both UP and the latest Harry Potter to entertain me and will have a whole bunch of turkey leftovers from my daughter. This, so far, is a lovely Christmas and this old gal has only had to prepare the stuffing and the dessert. Yay me! Make lots of good memories with your sweet grandson. I hope you're feeling better and tonight we can toast each other over the miles. Cheers, dear friend....keep on, keepin' on. Hugs and much love. xo

Merry Christmas. I hope you had a wonderful day and your son made it home before the big storm hit.

Thank you for your positive words. I agree that without hope there is not much. I too believe in miracles and have ultimate faith that before my life is over something wonderful will happen to me. I pray the same for you my dear friend. Someday may just happen. Coffee.....hugs.....comraderie.

I like the new look of your blog. It is easier on my old lady eyes!

I am sorry you were feeling so much pain and having a difficult time coping with it. I can only imagine what you are going through. I can barely take the knee pain on some days.

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas Day and that your son got home safely.

take care.
