Do Dah

It's early, my mind is rolling from one thing to the next:

I'm hungry, and that's a bit of a new thing.

I woke up with a sore throat and unable to breathe, I suppose I am the next stop for the germs in the sinus infection-strep throat-bronchitis epidemic floating around my vicinity.

A couple of the people that I work with are actually human.

My kitties are shedding like they are on chemo---must be the time of year?

My television is on the outs---and I am trying to figure out what to do about it. When one has NO life, one NEEDS a television. I would surely die without my daily Law and Order fix. I have little resources for repairs or replacement but I have to find a way. It irritates me though, as this one was purchased in 2006-and cost a bloody fortune...why does nothing work anymore?

Apparently when one is single and living in small-town Southern Iowa, going out and partying every weekend night is not only accepted, it's mandated. I have no issue with this-however, when one is married and living in the city...having one's ass glued to the sofa is the required behavior. Seems to me there would be a mix of the two lifestyles in there somewhere, then maybe one wouldn't be single and living in Southern Iowa.

Due to a sudden and unexpected profit windfall on the job that my predecessor was too inept to find, I will be rewarded, as part of my salary is based on profit. Because I had long ago offered to purchase the bedroom furniture for my soon to be born grandson, I have been worrying how I was going to manage--but now I have it handled. I called Janelle and told her to find what she wanted and we would get it this week. We are both excited. Somehow, looking at the ready to go bedroom of a soon to be born child makes it all so real.

Enough for one early Sunday morning. I hope your day is wonderful. :)

I'm so glad you have something to look forward to Jamie and really is there anything better than a newborn baby?

I am so excited for you! I am thinking that when the baby arrives you will feel differently about some things. Somehow that little bundle makes everything else seem unimportant. Trust me on this one. I would have never believed it myself, but its true.

Glad to hear some good stuff. It makes the bad easier to bear. How far does Janelle live from you?

Isn't it funny how God works even the little things out for us - like funds to buy the baby bed?! Then we know that the really big things like the direction our lives are heading will work out too. The first steps are the hardest and I know work and home will all fall into their proper places for you in due time. Keep believing. It's the season of miracles!

Josie said it so well that all I can say is ditto. There's nothing like a grandbaby to put the whole world in focus. Believe in miracles!

Oh Yes Jamie....BELIEVE....has a familiar ring, doesn't it? (the angel). I can tell a difference in your writing....this job is good for you; getting the mental juices all stirred up again. I'm so glad the money appeared for the furniture...somethin' how that works out, isn't it? Truly God at work! Hope you get your TV going again...could it have something to do with the digital conversion? Want anything like that fixed...get a young man (your sons) to work on it....they can sometimes be amazing when it comes to this stuff. Much love and big hugs! Charlotte

I hope you're having a wonderful, lazy, relaxing, stress-free Sunday. That's not too much to ask for, is it?
