Random Schmandom

Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee is better than doughnuts. Although a doughnut sounds pretty good about now.

We had at least another couple of inches of rain last night---in about an hour, that is.

There are no sofa's or living room groups that I want, other than the one that costs way too much. I have not however, spent much time looking, other than online and in sale ads. Does more than four thousand (including the taxes) sound like too much to all of you, too? This amount is for a huge two piece sectional, a leather ottoman and a funky swivel chair... I have not bought furniture of any quality for quite some time...doesn't that sound like alot? It is part leather, part microfiber...

I cannot quit smoking. I cannot even cut down on the amount I smoke. I was doing so well a while back, these days, it's awful. I think that beginning tomorrow, since I am actually back on the job, I will slap the patch back on the old arm and give it another try. I don't even have to completely quit, but I would feel so much better if I could get it back down to a few a day.

As usual, I am behind in my work again. I will have to spend a good part of this day working here at my computer. Laziness really is getting to be a problem with me. Yesterday, I opted to spend the majority of the day with my kids - numbers One and Two, running around, doing nothing of any importance...it was great.

I want to move into apartment 333. Sorry Soul, but I do. I have never even seen it, but that number sounds so lucky to me...

Both CrazyDog and I were quite happy to see Mark pull into the parking lot late yesterday afternoon.

I plan to get out this morning and ride my bike...there is little traffic here on Sundays, and the weather will be decent before it starts to storm again late today. Bicycle...you - me - it's a date...

I am both looking forward to this week and dreading it...

Mark turns 43 on Thursday. Teehee...We are both taking the day off and doing whatever he wants to do.

The local humane society (at least I think it's local, maybe it is national) are running commercials on tv that I cannot bear to watch, they break my heart.

My youngest got pulled over by a policeman AGAIN yesterday, all the policeman could come up with was a no seat belt ticket for his passenger...but of course, the policeman had to search his car. I find that so offensive. My kids all say..sure go ahead, and while I'm happy that none of them get lippy with a cop, why-what-gives them the right to search? He wasn't speeding, he wasn't making any driving mistakes, all of his paperwork was in order, the car itself is just a chevy cavalier, hardly a "known" drug runner...I mean, come on...what makes this okay? What happens if they refuse? Believe me, I will find out one of these days. No way will any cop ever search MY car again...not without a warrant to do so. I don't care if it does harelip the Governor.

I suppose I am off, I need to get this party started. I am up late for me, lazy, I'm tellin ya...

Happy Sunday friends. :)

I've been looking at new living room furniture lately and I didn't really like any of it. Although, I haven't looked at the really high end stuff. I'll bet I could find something in that catagory I could live with. ha! I'm at the point now of giving up finding anything I like enough to actually buy. I guess I'll recover (again) my old faithful sofa friend that I bought at a yard sale 20 years ago. She's looking pretty bad these days.

Lazy? I think not!

I have never tried Dunkin' Doughnuts anything, but it does sound good this morning.

As for the furniture, I have been told that buying different pieces is what's "in". Perhaps you should buy pieces of furniture that tie together by one color in the room? I could never do that, of course, cuz' I have no talent in matching things up.

I hope you have fun on your bike ride. I haven't rode a bike in years, not that there are many places to ride where I live.

Have a great day!

Teens are just targets. When my teenaged friend, Sven, lived at home (he has since moved on to college), he was constantly being stopped for anything and everything. His mother told him to just make sure that he had his seat belt on, wasn't speeding, etc and to always say "sir."

Yet he still got stopped ALL the time. I think it comes with the territory.

We had always bought furniture that was of questionable quality and it never lasted more than a few years. Our last purchase, a couch, big chair and ottoman cost about what you mentioned and I have to say it about killed me to spend so much but its been the best furniture we have ever bought. I guess its true, you get what you pay for.

Hope you're having a great Sunday!

You need to buy the best quality you can find, and pieces that aren't trendy. If what you're talking about fits the bill, go ahead and purchase it. You won't be disappointed.

Did the day live up to your expectations? Hope so!

naaw you are NOT lazy...you run around doing too many things i think! yeah the officers doing the search thing...don't they have to have a search warrant? otherwise you CAN refuse right? hmmm.. maybe i just watch too many law movies.... i don't know about the rules here in Japan though...
oh yeah the "in" doughnuts here are Crispy Cremes....

Lazy my hiney.

I wouldn't pay $2k for a living room set, so yea over 4k is tooo expensive. Ridiculous. Keep looking! Maybe try a furniture warehouse, the more there is the cheaper they are.

I hope you don't mind if I pray for your smoking! God delivered Roger from it, a devoted smoker who LOVED to smoke. He still loves the smell but has zero desire for cigarettes.

Love you!!!!!!!!!

hahaha-- apartment 333... you know i would laugh if you did that. but if you do-- i hope it's not far to haul your stuff over to--- ugh.

4 grand for furniture is highway robbery. but these days every thing is overpriced.
i'm sure you can find something better for less though.

sorry i missed this yesterday-- oops.

have a good day today--

and just in case i forget-- which you know is entirely possible,
happy birthday to mark-- woo hoo --
