I have fixed it all for years and years, but now I refuse. I will just go with it, broken or not.

And so...
Just a quick post to let you know that I know nothing more than I did this morning when I left. It has been a long, long day, and I am tired. I liked the Dr, he seemed rather human, which was a pleasant surprise. He wants yet another MRI, this time of my middle back, the thorasic (? I don't know if that's the correct term or spelling) area, as it has not been done and he says he wants NO surprises if and most likely when he does surgery. He also feels that we have not gotten to the bottom of my problems...that a few things that are wrong are not adding up the way he wants and would feel better with a picture of that area. I am good with that---as I don't want surgery in the first place, but if I must have it, then I surely don't want any surprises, either. So, I go back to city NEXT Monday morning for the MRI, and then I see him again in the afternoon. Swell. So, I shall see you all in the morning. Good night.

I'm sure you are disappointed to have no definitive answers yet, but you are right that this isn't the time or place for surprises. I know you've got your hands full this week anyway. All you can do is focus on what you must, and rest when your body demands it. Will keep praying. Sometimes life does not come easy, but we are SURVIVORS and with a little faith you'll get thru it!
I'm encouraged with this new doctor. He wants to look deeper into what's going on, and that can only be good. Rest, OK?
I agree with Cheryl....at least he is not taking things lightly and wants all the information he needs BEFORE he gets out the knife. Sorry that you haven't got any answers yet babe but the wheels are in motion and as long as you're going forward you are not standing still. Happy thoughts winging their way from the land of Oz.
no you didnt fine any definite answers..but it is GOOD that the doctor knew that this wasnt right...so will be working to find some logical answers to your problems
mornin jamie---
i feel like you my get some answers, finally outta this doc. not that it will be exactly what you want. but i know that the way you feel about and respond to your doc--- any doc... is very important. and first impressions are lasting impressions.
seems that this guy is willing to research further what he has, and not run off "arbitrarily"... with the records he was handed, and go on with that , and not do his own testing, and research. and i think that is great. he is treating you as an individual ! not a number.
that is rare these days.
i hope things start coming together for ya . i hope they have been magnified, by dr's in the "wrong" feild.. and maybe now you are finally with the doctor who is knowledgeable, and patient, and HUMAN, enough ... to help. in the LESS invasive way possible.
we can hope.
til then...
keep doin what your doin, cuz through it all, you really are doing great.
(damn that word!)
find me a new one!.. thats your task for the day!)
latah
Glad this doc is taking a closer look! Like you said, the appointments are a PITA but it's good to know what you are up against.
Well, I know it's not what you were hoping for, but it is good to know you have a doctor that you are comfortable with. That is a really good thing.
