Sleepy rambling....

Wednesday already...and I haven't accomplished one damned thing at work. Oh, I have been working, but I haven't even begun to get to my own job. I have to get July put away, and that will take awhile...hopefully today I can get out of the service/parts area, and get down to the real stuff.

It has been so horribly hot that I am literally dragging this morning. I don't take the heat well anymore...it makes me so tired, and frankly ---it is just pissing me off recently. The whole garage area feels like an oven, and the air has been so heavy that breathing is pretty much out of the question, unless you are a fish.

YS called on his way to work this morning, at 3:45, wanting to share the fact that a deer had just run into the side of his car, great---you remember the car that i just got for him, right?. I didn't put comprehensive insurance on it, trying to keep the costs down, it is after all, a 96---eleven years old...but damn. He lives in a residential area in Des Moines, he was just pulling out of the parking lot of his apartment complex, and a deer runs out from between the buildings....WTH? He said he really didn't know what had happened until he saw the deer going ass over teakettle in the street----I feel as bad about the deer as I do about the car....:( It has been raining non stop for the past twelve hours, maybe the deer are being flooded out. But now I have to see what it will take to fix his car, he is so proud of it, and he texted me after he arrived at his job, he said it isn't TERRIBLE damage, so I will have it fixed. Geez...just what I/he needed.

The race on Monday finally managed to get ran, after a really, really long rain delay---and I think it turned out pretty well for Owner, but it was a complete wash-out last night....of course, the rain had to come down in buckets...one thing for sure-the weather here is always a pain....either no rain at all, or it rains until it floods.

Damn, I am tired this morning. And in pain. Damn. But it will be a short day---at least not a thirteen hour one...and that is a good thing. I hope you have a great day, too!

ass over teakettle... good one. never heard that before.
did the deer get hurt? killed? run away? good thing it was the side of the car... lots of people get hurt trying to miss a deer in front of them! glad it was just the car that got hurt and not the kid! cars get fixed.

apparently it's true... when it rains , it does pour eh.

glad you got to have the race go on though.

hope you have a good day... at least you have a short day. that much is good.

What is up with all these weird things happening with cars and other stuff. Wolfie's brakes go out, YS and the deer, I just chipped one of my crowns, Two of my clients just threw their back out...is mercury in retrograde? Actually, now they're saying that when it happens, it's a good thing. Who knows...

i know the feeling. no matter how much you get done, the work keeps coming. this is why people go 'postal' ;) well, enjoy your relatively short day!
and i have to agree with soul about the car- it sucks but i'm sure glad your son is AOK.

p.s. thanks for always being so positive and supportive :)

The heat, Lord yes, the heat. I was sure thinking of you in the sweatshop today, as I ran around town in 101 degrees. By mid afternoon you could have wrung my clothes out - and me too! Sure felt great to come back to a nice cool house and a tall glass of iced tea! Enough heat, ENOUGH!!

I cannot express just how much I relate to that first paragraph. I honestly think they are trying to kill me at work.

CCC- I really don't know what "mercury in retrograde" means, but when I choose to read my horoscope, it seems that is always the case...so I decided that reading my horoscope was a waste of a good day...unless of course, it was a predicted good day, then I choose to believe it. Selective predicting, perhaps? :)

Soul- you are right, no one was hurt, and I saw his car later in the day, it really can be easily fixed...so it's all good...

Portia---you don't have to thank me, I think you are great---being positive to someone like you is easy!

Jos, yes, the heat, oh the heat..

Frank--I sometimes feel that way myself, how much longer do you have to cover two departments?

Amanda, I suppose the backlog will never end...and I suppose we will survive in spite of it...or maybe because of it....
