To be loved by anyone...

No one sleeps if CrazyDog doesn't sleep. And CrazyDog doesn't sleep unless H is here. If I confine her to the bedroom, she barks. Forever. Will not wear out. If I let her have run of the house, she cannot stand it when I sleep. I get the left hook---you all remember the famous left hook, right? She wakes me roughly, stares into my face and says "Dad's not home. Why aren't you worried?" I tell her it's okay, but she will have no part of it.

And if I wander into the mostly dark kitchen in the middle of the night, only to find that damned stuffed mouse, that looks for freakin' real with the long tail and all, the one that belongs to D's kitties, I am seriously not going to make it. I will eventually have a heart attack right on the spot.

Out.

jamie... you poor girl... i do know the animal tortures of the night. my little min pin likes to eat my feet when i sleep! and her teeth are like freakin needles!

as for the "rat" why don't you get one of those glow in the dark bracelets, and put it on it's neck? that way that will be the first thing you see, and it won't scare the crap outta ya! :))

hope you have a good day.

Poor Crazy Dog! Our pets sure don't like their world's rearranged. Stormy, Rick's cat actually cries when he was not home late at night. Stormy would find an old dirty sock or shirt of his and come dragging it out of the bedroom to me, yowling pitifully in a weird voice - definitely as to say "I miss my Daddy, where is he." It was so sweet, but sad too. Hopefully Crazy Dog will chill out in a couple days, when he gets more used to the routine. Otherwise - shut the door and get earplugs!!

The toy mouse - had those around our house too, my daughter brought them. Then one morning I opened the bedroom door and laying right in front of it was a nice little "gift" from one of the furkids of a dead REAL mouse! I almost did die on the spot. Had I come out in the night, I would have stepped right on the damn thing. EWWWW I say, put the toy mouse in the drawer at night! LOL Wishing you a good day, Hump Day in progress. Stay strong!

ps..if heart attacks lurk in the dark kitchen at night...don't go there :D

God...I finally decided to give in and get Liv a dog for her Christmas gift this year. She has been begging ever since our last one died two years ago.

She wants a Scottie. And now, I remember vividly why I planned on never having a dog again. That dog was lovesick at the sight of me, probably because I was the one who ended up taking her for walks every day and feeding her.

I think there will be a very strict list of rules for Miss Liv.
