There's a tree, out in the back yard....

Another Monday---even though I had two whole days off, they seem to come around so quickly. It was a really good weekend, though, and I don't say that too often. We did nothing special, alot of being lazy, but it was good. I did walk yesterday, but i was disappointed with myself, I was hoping I could do so much more than i was actually able to. I had hoped with all the running I had done the past week, that i would be able to do more than two miles, but no way, I barely covered a little more than a mile, and it was time to come back. Plus, it was hotter than Haites, sweat pouring off of me....what an attractive visual...uck.

I am wondering this morning what the week will bring....even though I always know there are no guarantees on anything in this life, I think we all are guilty of believing that all things will stay the same....and with recent developments on the work front, I never know what to expect. I do know that this day will be unbearably long, and I do hope that i can actually get to my own work that is always, always waiting for me...hopefully I will not be tied up in the service department all day today. On Saturday, when I was not there, they were very, very busy. They sold and delivered four vehicles, and there were only three people there, I felt really bad about that. I talked with Owner several times that day, I offered to come in, he really didn't want me to, said things were under control, and that i needed a day off, which I thought was great of him...most of the time he is pretty great, but oh---when he isn't, he's lucky to live. I tell him that all the time, it doesn't phase him.

Just some random thoughts here:

Brad Paisley out to be shot for doing such a ridiculous song----I want to check you for ticks---give me a fricking break, no wonder so many people make fun of country music....and even worse, it's number one this week!

Milk out of a glass bottle is not smelly, and that is a wonderful thing. I really don't love milk, but most of all, I hate the smell, just when you are about to take a drink, ugh, that smell, but somehow, when it's purchased in a glass bottle, it really doesn't have THAT smell.

Tony came in third yesterday, although the race was about like watching paint dry, I slept through a lot of it, and i still didn't miss anything....I was happy Edwards won, it was time, even if he does drive a ford.

Earnhardt, Jr is a traitor....just my opinion. It should be interesting how many fans turn to someone else, tony perhaps? My father would turn over in his grave if he knew that he signed on with Hendrick motorsports....again, just my opinion.

It is supposed to rain today, and the heat should take a break, I am ready for that, particularly if I find myself in the SD again today.

I am already so tired of all the presidential political bullshit, and we haven't even begun yet. I am extremely politically minded, but there isn't one, not even one candidate worth getting behind this year. I think they are all full of shit, and i can't fathom what politics has turned into in this country. I just know that something has got to change....

And with all of this particularly boring bullshit, I will sign off. Happy Monday to all of you! Out.

Wow, it was really nice of your boss to encourage you to stay home Saturday when they were so busy, Jamie. I hope this week goes better. Are they hiring more help for the Service Dept? Sounds like it's badly needed.

You walked! Good for you. I know it's a little depressing to see that we don't have the stamina we did have or should have, but it does get easier and I'm getting a little bit further. I can't walk in the heat at all though, have to wait 'til it cools down in the evening. (Since I can't get my butt outta bed in the morning - wish I was more like you in that way. And I don't stay up all that late either - just crave more sleep I guess.)

Loved all your thoughts for the day - you are so right about milk tasting better that way. Remember when it ALL came in glass jugs, no paper, no plastic? And nothing beat Coca Cola in a glass bottle! Tasted nothing like the metallic flavored stuff in the cans.

Thinking positive thoughts for the week - both yours and mine!

Yep, soul, they have milk in glass bottles again, although the bottle deposit is a little ridiculous, and has provided H with yet another collection....he always MEANS to return those damned bottles and cans..teehee
