Tidbits and distractions

Time has gotten away from me once again, and I apologize at not following up after my last post, prompting a few of you to ask if I am okay...I am. Life here has become a bit tricky. I am struggling to find my routine and this is a new problem for me, I don't believe I have ever lost that before. I am easily distracted these days, not managing my time well at all, and having trouble keeping up with anything, let alone everything, anymore. If you know me at all, you know this is completely unlike me..I chalk it up recently to a body shot full of steroids and all the fun that goes with it. Sweating, not sleeping, a little manic--which accounts for my short attention span of late..

oh look --- something shiny!

Seriously.

In the past week:

Meisha, my little black, fat, kittygurl fell off a window sill, required x-rays and many dollars worth of "doctoring" to find out that her entire knee cap became dislocated and required many days of her not walking at all, or limping around when necessary. She has cried and cried, made me cry and cry, and become even more spoiled in the whole process, of that's possible. THEN, just about the time I thought she might be getting better, she began to throw up all over the place, back to the vet, high temp--many tests and x-rays again to find out that she has an intestinal infection,  most likely from lots and lots of pounds of rug fibers, eaten over the years. Yes, she is a very strange kittygurl. She has eaten and ruined many rugs...pulls the yarn out one fiber at a time...and leaves holes about the size of a quarter in more of them than I can count. I think it finally caught up with her, although the timing is off as I have replaced them all over time with rugs that are not her particular "taste"; pun intended. Honestly, this whole ordeal the past week has cost just about $500 - yes, you read that right -- and we are left with vials and pills and syringes and have you ever tried to get any kind of medicine down the throat of a cat? Let's just say that we often end up with more of it on us than she does with it in her.

I had some very short lived improvement in my neck after the hell I endured last week. No better on being able to use it or turn it or anything like that, but the pain was better as long as I didn't move or touch it. But even that improvement is gone now, back to the old, usual, pain in the neck I live with daily...and no, I'm not referring to Mark. It's just as well I suppose, I really don't think I could go through that ordeal again.

I cannot find my groove. Since the move, I have lost all routine, all timing, all enjoyment of the mundane things I used to do. I have no idea what the problem is, I just know that I want my life back. I am working on it.

Life with three cats is interesting.

It seems I have lost my ability to type or spell and writing this is killing me.

Happy Friday, y'all.  :)

Hope your Cat is going to be ok, also pleased to know your neck has not been so troublesome. My daughter has to have a scan on her neck because it gets very swollen at times and painful.

Have a great week-end.

It will get there, you have been through a lot, new home, new procedure, now the cat. Give yourself a break this weekend and take some time to pamper yourself you deserve it.
hope you have a good weekend girlfriend.

Nothing like a move to send the routine into a major decline. It may take a few days but you'll settle into a routine that fits your new place. I'm so happy that Mark is with you.

Poor kitty. It's heart breaking to watch a pet suffer. It's even more heart breaking when you have to wrap a kitty in a towel and force feed them medication. TRY to medicate them, I should say.

I hope you have a quiet weekend and a lot of rest. You need it - claim it!!

Hugs to you

Good to hear you're okay, somewhat anyway. Functional, can I call it that? OMG, what a vet bill, unbelievable. It's all worth it when the cat is back to normal. Hopefully, you'll get there too - back to normal (whatever that is), back to your groove. I've lost mine too. Motivation, zip, zilch, nada, nothing. Keep trying, don't give up, one day at a time, we'll get there, patience is a virtue!

I'm sorry to hear that you got no relief after that terrible treatment to our neck. Unbelievable. I have to think there's some cure. I have to!

You'll find your groove. I have faith in you. I'd say relax and all that, but I know you better. Still, I wish you would.

All one can do is take it one day at a time. and having a sick pet in the mix, not fun.
