Ramblin' Rose

This is likely to be all over the map. The way my brain seems to be working this morning. My very tired, work-weary brain. This work week has flown by at the speed of light, and it's Friday already. I have spent it working right along, keeping very busy every second. I look up from my desk at the clock and am shocked at how much time has passed. I have made huge progress in the end of the year processes but still have a way to go. I am hoping for it all to be in the books by the end of next week. I have saved the yuckiest for last...the end of the year compliance crap for the 401k, and I literally hate that job. It often makes no sense, but that could be the un-user-friendly website that this particular financial institution has put together. So, I'll begin with that on Monday. I think I will celebrate being finished with a day off..maybe towards the end of the month. My little sis and family are visiting the last weekend, maybe I will take the Friday or Monday then. It will however, be the end of the month as far as the J-O-B goes, so I will just have to see.

I am so cold this winter, I think I could shrivel up and die. Seriously. This damned cold weather is keeping me from my life and it is peeing me off. I cannot---CANNOT---CANNOT force myself out into it at five am to go to the gym. It isn't the fact that I don't want to go to the gym, it's the damned cold. It's killing me. It has been below zero wind chills for several days now, and I just can't maneuver in it. I have to get to the grocery store, but I haven't gone. I need to go to the bank. I have not had my nails done in more than three weeks. I just can't force myself out to do any of it. I have the best of intentions, then I come back home. The wind goes right through all of the layers, the coat, the gloves...all of it. Where the hell is spring?

I am happy it's Friday. I am not going to work this weekend. I ended up working last Saturday, and I got alot accomplished. I don't mind being there on the weekends...but it sure cuts down on the free time. I want to spend some time reading on my new kindle. In the evenings after work, my eyes and brain have just been too tired.

The word amazing is really beginning to bug me. It seems to be absolutely everywhere, all of a sudden. What the hell? What did people use before that word? Why on earth is everything so damned amazing these days?

It's time for the Lucky Charms. I'm hungry and seriously, they are magically delicious. Just ask Brodie. :) Happy Friday.

I didn't realize how bad my lower back has weakened until I tried to shovel the snow and ice. Got it done but am paying the price. I don't mind the cold, but I hate the wind. Just take it a minute at a time and you will make it.

Our cold is nothing like yours and I can't stand it. I just can't wait to be at the pool and be so hot that I have to hang out in the water.

Enjoy your weekend. I know it will be a happy one for you. You make things happen!

And this is why I don't come to Iowa.... I need my sunshine! It's been in the mid 70's the last few days, simply amazing!!

My condolences, really....

I've become a stay home coward this winter. I know the cold there can penetrate to the bone. Spending time with your new Kindle sounds good to me. Relax and enjoy.
