A quickie

Six days into the new year, and I am perking right along at work. Last month is closed, last year is closed, now it's just a matter of the w2's (ugh) and 1099's (double ugh). Then the thirteen month financials, quarterly and end of the year tax reports, and then get January rolling...hmmm. I liked my progress better before I listed it all out.

I am surviving. That's saying something since the damned winter is trying to kill me. It has not been above ten degrees for weeks. Another ten inches of snow is being dumped out of the sky as we speak. Tomorrow, I can look forward to blizzard winds, and white out conditions. Not to mention the below zero highs tomorrow and Friday. Yea...oh how I love Iowa.

My pain level is high. Mostly, I am too -- due to the pills I am forced to take. But only after I get home from work. Until then, I suck it up. Difficult, but so far not impossible.

Hope you're all warm and happy. Later.

Iowa. Harsh winters. Were you born and raised in Iowa or did you somehow end up there? I always find people's journeys interesting. Just how I roll :-)

OMG! The winters here are bad enough....I know I couldn't take what you're getting dished out! Yesterday just walking two blocks from the parking garage to the hospital, then another block or more INSIDE the hospital almost did me in. By bedtime last night I was feeling it...I could barely move. On a brighter note though....my daughter came through everything ok and the doctor feels like its going to be a success. I hope so. Big hugs for you ....keep warm (if thats possible)...much love, Charlotte

I can't fathom Iowa in this cold wave, or in general in the winter. I passed through in the summer of 74 and remember how beautiful it was.

I have a feeling that one day your pain will ease. It's happened before. In the meantime, take it as easy as your job allows. One day at a time. I think you have the right attitude. You're looking at the bright side...difficult but not impossible.

Maybe you should move to a warmer climate! :-)

Hang in there, Kid. Don't take chances in that blizzard. Whiteouts are really dangerous. Thinking of you.

Too cold there for me. I am allergic to the cold weather. Makes me break out in hives if I stay out in it too long.

Hope you can move yourself someplace warmer!

Quite a snow sculpture!
