Progress

My home no longer looks like mine, it looks sort of like a bachelor lives here, or maybe that someone that loved it, left. It is kind of disconcerting, but also it's very exciting. We haven't begun to pack yet, just GET RID OF unwanted (by me) items. It's really very interesting. I am streamlining like you wouldn't believe. This is the first time in almost thirty years that I have been able to do what I want with my living space, having no kids to consider or not being limited by my lack of funds....this time, it's going to be all about what I want, and also Mark, but he really isn't into what the place looks like, as long as he has a place to lay down at night. It's really very exciting. I cannot wait to find the perfect place and get moved in.

I have an exciting interview on Wednesday.

Have a great day. :)

You go girl! You're really getting it cleared out and you have a new home done your way to look forward to.

You have inspired me. I'm tearing through the house like a mad thing. I've cleaned out my closets and thrown everything I don't wear into the Goodwill box. My closets are virtually empty. I hate shopping so I'm in big trouble. ha!

Good luck with your interview tomorrow!

The inspiration is there....but the body is saying.."HELL no...are you nuts? Try that and I'll have you in BIG mama pain"....so I have to wait for some help before I can clean TOO deeply. It IS exciting to move, isn't it? Maybe rent a smaller house...all on one floor...so the animals have a yard and YOU can have first floor laundry!! Good luck on your interview tomorrow. Those are always nerve-wracking. Be yourself...do NOT lower your standards, woman! Big hugs. Charlotte

Ditto the other comments, especially Val's. You sound excited about the new life and I'm excited for you.

I really would like to be able to take your lead and go through this house like a tornado. My mind says, "Get the job done." but my body says, "Do and you die." I'll get there but it'll take a while.

Good luck with the interview.

Checking in Sis.
I really need to do a good purge. It's been a while and I'm a pack rat. My only problem is even though I'm a thousand miles away I worry your throwing out something I might want and I want to rummage around your discards. Even when I have purged in the past it only takes months for the house to fill up again. Come back and tell us how the interview went!

Good luck on the interview...break a leg as they say in show biz ;)

Glad you are sounding so motivated. It really helps to look at things positively. How was Mark's first day?

Purging is a wonderful feeling - specially when you've been storing everyone else' muck! I'm so pleased for you - the prospect of a new place - setup just the way you want it sounds wonderful.

Good luck with your interview on Wednesday! I'll be thinking about you.
