Just call me Jabba

Well hello again. It has been a very painful day. I am really going to try not to whine and carry on here, but I am in some major freakin' pain here. Really. And while part of me knew that I would be, holy momma, I didn't expect THIS. I have always believed the second day after surgery or a tough workout or anything similar is always the worst, so if that is the case, today will have been the worst of it for me. That's a good thing, because D-A-M-N...I hurt. That's the bad news.

The good news is: drum roll please... I can walk. I CAN WALK. My legs are still doing a little of the Elvis move, but that could just be a lack of doing anything for weeks, so I am going with that theory for the time being. I have not had the opportunity to walk very far yet, of course, but I already know that what I can do is an improvement. It may be that I won't be able to walk as far as I once could, or it may be that I can, but either way, this is a miracle. Seriously.

And for that, I will be able to take whatever pain I have to endure now. I am pretty tough, as you all know. And for me to even admit that this is hurting, you all have to know it's bad. But give it to me times a hundred...and I'll manage, as long as when it's over, I can still walk. :)

I just thought you all might want to know that. :)

I think I'll go lay down for awhile, it would really help if I could find one position that I could get comfortable in. This cervical collar is really a pain in the butt, and I am to wear it all the time when I am up, for the next three weeks. It makes me look like Jabba the Hut. I have no idea if I spelled that right, I never was a Star Wars fan. But it makes my neck sit squarely on my shoulders, and you cannot see that I even have a neck, or a chin for that matter. But anyway, I will see you all here, later. Have a good evening!

Plese do whatever the doctors ask you to do. You have a miracle - your very own Christmas Miracle. I know you're paying the toll with mega pain and I'm so sorry. Don't hold back on the pain meds.

Errr, I - ah - umm - have to say that - I would have thought the collar would be a pain in the neck not the butt. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Take care Jamie and don't rush your recovery. Love and hugs to you.

I hope you get some relief from the pain today. Is it everywhere but where you thought it would be?
