Cecilia...you're breakin' my heart

Considering how rotten I felt when I left for work yesterday am, I ended up having an awesome day. I worked my tail off, and then some. I don't remember being that dirty before---at least, not since I quit working at the race track. I accomplished alot, but have weeks more left to do, so getting dirty will become a daily occurrence.

I came home, cleaned up, colored that gray right out of my hair:)...and H and I left for the big city, we shopped a little, I bought new books and much needed new shoes....then we went to dinner at red lobster, and I made a pig of myself. It was a fun evening, just he and I, something we rarely do. We got home around elevenish and i hit the bed, but my day of climbing the ladder in the parts room, up to the top shelves, down to the bottom shelves, up, down, caught up with me, and the pain was quite intense, my neuropathy came out in full force, plus I have a "vibration" in my left foot that is driving me crazy...I need to work today, and i had planned to, but i can tell that my choice will be---work today, be flat on my back tomorrow, and I am more needed at the garage tomorrow...so little thinking required, looks like I will be home today...

I didn't sleep well, I took a pain medication before I went to sleep, strangely enough, I was pretty "buzzed" but awake, generally medications like those knock me out. But it did help the pain, wondering how I will get through the day today, I have things that desperately need doing around here...but ugh.

H and I have decided to take up biking...but we know little about bicycles, and after looking at them last evening, it seems we have little research to do...I want to have new bikes before next weekend, that is something the dr's said I could do, easier on my legs than walking, apparently. So that will be fun, but i haven't been on a bicycle since I was a kid, I wonder if I can still ride..."just like riding a bike"...where the hell did that saying come from? I wonder if I will kill myself on the damned thing....

Hope your day is awesome, I will be watching my race, go TONY. Later.

Biking is awesome. I just know it will all come back to you the moment you'll get on that saddle!

The most important accessory will be the (padded) lycra-pants. ;)

LMAO. The last time I got on a bike I about killed myself. I need my old blue Rollfast with the headlight and the basket in the front. Ha! About my speed.

Hi Jamie! It was amazing to see you being upbeat this morning, despite feeling like crap. Maybe the thought of a day off, even a forced one, was good! Glad you felt like you made at least a good start in the parts mess, and even moreso that you had a lovely evening with H. You two needed that! Red Lobster is my favorite pigout! (There is just no way to be graceful about eating crablegs.) My daughter and her hubby got bicycles awhile back and had a really nice time going out in the evenings together. I think we definitely will need a picture of you in your biker shorts and helmet! :-) It is a wonder we survived childhood without all the protective gear, isn't it? Or maybe that's it... bounced our heads off the pavement once too often?! :-) I am glad that your body is telling you to take today off, enjoy your race and may Tony win!!

Biking! HOw fun. Great you have someone to do it with! Good for you! Great therapy. Ya know, I love biking. Less strain, you are out there in nature or wherever, and you get to feel the wind on your skin and can get places, go downhill with no work, uphill quite faster and with little effort if you go to the highest speed. It's just the best for your heart and muscle tone and circulation and stress levels....IT"S THE BEST!

Don't forget a helmet, a light and a bell for fun.

you do seem a lot more chipper today which is good
Just take it easy on the bike ok don't over do yourself
Get a bike with the most gears you can, they are a bit more tricky to work out than the old 3 speeds that we had in the 70's but worth the effort or the NON effort that you don't have to put in with your legs.

You like Tony Stewart? I knew there was something about you I liked! Didn't see the race, but my boyfriend said it was good. He's a HUGE Tony Stewart fan.

I see on the news that Tony did indeed with that race today... YEAH Jamie! Hope that brightened your day considerably! (No toasting though, gotta work tomorrow... me too, sigh.)
